DENTAL CROWNS IN CANCUN

A Dental crown is a tooth-shaped cover placed over a tooth that is badly damaged or decayed. Many people call it a cap.

Crowns may be placed for several reasons. Usually the tooth has been broken or severely damaged by decay. As a result, a filling can't replace enough of the tooth or make the tooth strong enough. A crown may hold together parts of a cracked tooth. It also can be used to hold a bridge in place. Crowns can be used to improve appearance as well. They may be placed to cover misshapen or badly discolored teeth.

Dental Crowns in Cancun can be made of:

  • All metal

  • Zirconia

  • Porcelain fused to metal (PFM)

  • Porcelain fused to zirconia

  • All ceramic

Our Dental Specialists Use Zirconia unless there are specific reasons that a patients case calls for a alternative.

Temporary crowns will be made in the dentist's office, where as the permanent dental crowns are made in the offsite Laboratory, This has not impact on time or quality (Far from it) it is just that the laboratory is large with many staff that extra space is needed.

Typically, temporary crowns are made of an acrylic-based material and can be used as a temporary restoration until a permanent crown is constructed by a lab.
